Celebrating La Guelaguetza

The celebration of La Guelaguetza takes place on consecutive Mondays at the end of July in towns around the state and in the capital city of Oaxaca.

The word Guelaguetza comes from the Zapotec language. It means “reciprocal exchanges of gifts and services”. The indigenous cultures give a lot of importance to sharing, reciprocity, and extended community; which is the purpose of this beautiful celebration. Food, drinks, art, costumes, dances.

We want to be part of this celebration and we want you to be part of it too because we LOVE Oaxaca!

We are serving the incredible food from Oaxaca all week for lunch, a 3-course fixed price dinner menu will be offered.

Check out some more information about Mexico, Oaxaca and this beautiful tradition here.

We want to hear from you!
